Sergiy Bubin Department of Physics, Nazarbayev University |
I am a professor in the Department of Physics, School of Sciences and Humanities at Nazarbayev University.
Born and raised in Kazakhstan, I spent my early adolescence and college years in Ukraine. Having received BS and MS degrees from National University of Kyiv I then went to the University of Arizona, from where I graduated with a PhD degree in Physics in 2006. Before coming to Nazarbayev University, I held postdoctoral appointments at the University of Arizona, Quantum Chemistry Research Institute (Kyoto, Japan), Vanderbilt University, and the University of Rochester. My research interests lie primarily in computational atomic and molecular physics, few-body systems, quantum chemistry, modeling of strong field phenomena, and general high performance computing.
